As OL Reign await who will be their opponent for the NWSL Playoffs semi-final, we’re bringing back a “get to know one of the new faces of the team” episode. Goalkeeper Phallon Tullis-Joyce joined the club this summer after starting her professional career at Stade de Reims, where she was instrumental in the club’s promotion to and staying in France’s top division, Division 1 Féminine.

But soccer is just half the story for the New York City-born Tullis-Joyce, as her passion for marine biology has not only been welcome in a place like the Puget Sound region, but having teammates with their own social causes is serving as inspiration for her and why she is happy to be here.

It’s time to get to know Phallon Tullis-Joyce.
