New, 19 comments

Sounders score two goals after the 87th minute to win 2-1.

The Seattle Sounders closed out their three-game road game week in impressive style, scoring two goals after the 87th minute to turn a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 win. Xavier Arreaga struck first, poking home a Jimmy Medranda cross. Their next time down the field, the Sounders completed the comeback when Medranda fed Will Bruin for an open shot from about 15 yards out.

The win pushed the Sounders’ lead in the Western Conference to three points and improved their road record to a league-best 7-1-2. They’ll next take on the Portland Timbers in a double-header with OL Reign on Aug. 29.
