On a team full of players who can reasonably be considered stars in the world of women's soccer, we still don't know a whole lot about most of their personalities. And no Seattle Reign players is a bigger mystery than Nahomi Kawasumi, the player everyone calls Naho.

That can mostly be chalked up the language barrier. Naho speaks only Japanese -- at least to reporters -- and is apparently pretty reserved in most interviews.

But as he tends to do, Scott Levy manages to get Naho to open up quite a bit in this interview. He talks to her about her relationship with her parents and a bit more about her personal life. It also appears as though Naho feels a bit more comfortable with her American teammates than she feels in her more reserved native culture.

Naho also has one of the better answers to Levy's classic "why do you love soccer?" question. Her inability to explain her love for the sport is why she loves it so much.
