Inside Reign: Stephanie Cox

The Reign's left back returned from giving birth after just a few months, but she's really hit her stride this year.

This may be my favorite LevyFilms interview yet. It may just be a little less than six minutes long, but it's packed with insightful and interesting information from one of the Reign's more cerebral, and possibly underrated, players.

Stephanie Cox is closing in on 88 caps, but is still trying to really find her place on the United States women's national team ever since giving birth to her first child prior to last season. That may be an oversight more than anything else, though.

As Cox, herself, says in the interview, she may be playing the best soccer of her career at the age of 28. She may have only had one assist, but she provided a constant threat on the left side and helped organize the best defense in the league. She's also able to provide some real insight into what makes her effective and displays some real maturity when discussing her place on the national team. We also get to see another seen of her and her daughter, which is pretty awesome.
