Scottish defender Rachel Corsie, who'll be joining the team for the 2015 season, took some time to chat and answer questions on the Women's Soccer Zone podcast, which dropped today.
Here's the full episode:
Corsie's interview starts at around 6 and a half minutes in. She describes herself as "not a classic defender" due to her background as a midfielder and her level of comfort with the ball at her feet. Among other topics, she acknowledges the difficulty of breaking into the strong center back duo of Lauren Barnes and Kendall Fletcher that helped Seattle to the best defensive record in the league last season. She also takes some questions from Twitter and admits that the thing she's most looking forward to in Seattle outside of the soccer is the coffee.
I guess the cultural reach of Starbucks has paid off once again.
