Championship Rematch: Reign vs FCKC Stream and Gamethread

Revenge is a dish best served eight months later with much less on the line, or so they say.

The only mar on the Seattle Reign's near-perfect 2014 season was the 2-1 loss in the final at home to Kansas City. Now Seattle has a midweek chance to exact a bit of regular season revenge when they travel to face the Blues in scenic Missouri. The match kicks off at 5 Pacific and is streamed on Youtube (embedded here).

Seattle won't just be looking for revenge on KC. They'll also be looking for a bounce-back after a shock injury time loss to Chicago last weekend. Christen Press won player of the week for her part in all three goals to deliver the loss to the Reign, and KC's Amy Rodriguez is just as dangerous.

The Reign's defense looked uncharacteristically porous in letting Press get chances on the counter, and some of that may have been the absence of Keelin Winters from the starting lineup. She's no longer listed on the injury report, so the team captain seems likely to start.

KC and Seattle are two of the least changed sides from last season — understandable given how the rosters performed — so this should be as familiar a matchup as we see all season.
