USWNT 23 Stories - Hope Solo

The Reign keeper talks about her soccer upbringing in Washington in this video series from US Soccer.

Leading up to the 2015 World Cup, US Soccer is profiling each of the players on the national team roster with a short, well-produced video interview on some topic, soccer-related or otherwise.

Seattle Reign keeper Hope Solo used her camera time to talk about her transition from the state's best youth forward in Richland, Washington to a goalkeeper at the University of Washington — a transition that would result in her becoming the best goalkeeper in the world — and some thoughts about who might be her biggest fan.

Solo is expected to play one more game for Seattle (at home this weekend against Washington) before joining the national team for a series of friendlies leading up to the World Cup in Canada in June.

The videos for the other 22 players can be seen here.
