Haley Kopmeyer has been having a tremendous season covering for Hope Solo, who's been away on national team duty and is now out injured. Now it turns out Kopmeyer herself is going to be missed, as she apparently suffered a foot injury in Seattle's 3-0 win over the Portland Thorns last weekend.
Covering for Kopmeyer tomorrow in Boston will be Caroline Stanley, who was drafted by the team in the offseason out of USC and recently signed a contract to back up in Solo's continued absence. Now she'll need a backup herself, and the team filled that void by signing recently graduated Oregon keeper Abby Steele, who finished her season as the Ducks' career leader in GAA and shutouts.

There are no public timetables for the Solo or Kopmeyer injuries, so no indication of how long Stanley will be the new #1. Kopmeyer had been having a Best XI quality 2015 season. She currently leads the league in wins, is tied for the lead in shutouts, and is tied for second with a 1.0 GAA.
