QUICK RECAP: Reign FC went down early against the Orlando Pride before scoring two of their own before the end of the first half — getting goals from Darian Jenkins and Jodie Taylor. Unfortunately, they couldn’t hold on to the win — and gave up a goal to Marta in the 86th minute. The match ended in a 2-2 draw.
It wasn’t the team’s best performance, but there’s also probably not too much to take from the match. The draw keeps the Reign securely in fourth place to close out the regular season, which means they’ll travel to North Carolina to take on the Courage in the first round of the NWSL playoffs. That game will be October 20 at 10:30 AM PT.
It’s the final match of the regular season for your favorite NWSL team, Reign FC. Their last game takes place on the road against the Orlando Pride and kicks off at 4:30 PM PT.
You can stream the match on Yahoo! Sports if you live in the U.S. and can follow internationally via an ESPN affiliate.
While Reign FC have already qualified for the playoffs, who they play in their NWSL semifinal match remains to be decided. If Reign FC wins — and their rivals in Portland lose or draw — the team will be heading to Chicago. If the Reign can’t leapfrog the Thorns, they’ll face the top-ranked North Carolina Courage.
