Reign FC kicks off the 2019 NWSL season on Sunday, April 14 with a match on the road against the Houston Dash at 3 PM PT. You may be wondering, how can I watch Sunday’s match?
While the league’s announcement came in the form of a retweet, the news is official: NWSL and Yahoo! Sports are joining forces this season, with Yahoo! Sports becoming the 2019 streaming partner. Yahoo! replaces go90 and YouTube, which had both been used — with mixed results — as previous NWSL streaming partners.
Every Reign FC match of the 2019 NWSL season, along with all other league matches, will broadcast live to U.S. viewers via the Yahoo! Sports app, which is available for download on iTunes and Google Play, and also on desktop. As in past years, international viewers can watch all matches on the league website.
If you can’t catch Reign FC at Cheney Stadium, or want to follow the team while they are on the road, here’s how you can find the app and watch Reign FC matches in 2019, whether you live in the U.S. or abroad.
I live in the United States. Where can I find the matches on Yahoo Sports?

- Yahoo! Sports iOS and Android phone and tablet apps, Apple TV (gen 4+) and Roku (gen 3+)
You will be able to “Favorite” the league on the app, making it easier to get alerts and find matches. If you can’t find the league or team right away, skip the initial prompt to select favorite teams. When you are on the app homescreen, click on “More Sports” in the sidebar, and scroll to “Top Soccer.” NWSL should be listed there. Then you can select a Reign game and favorite the club — giving you alerts when Reign FC games start in the future.
Once that is complete, when the match time approached, hit the “Watch” icon at the bottom of the app homescreen. There, you’ll see the Reign match appear.
What if I live outside the U.S.?
Every game will be available live on NWSLsoccer.com and on the NWSL app, with no sign-in required. Shortly before kickoff, links will be available on NWSLsoccer.com/schedule (click on the game you want to watch and a video should be embedded) and on the Games section of the NWSL App.

The NWSL app is currently not available on any TV-connected device platforms, such as Roku, Apple TV, Chromecast or Fire TV.
What if I can’t stream the match live? Can I watch it after it airs?
Shortly after its conclusion, each match will be available on-demand at the Yahoo Sports! website and on the Yahoo! Sports iOS, Android, Apple TV and Roku apps. After 48 hours, the game will also be available at NWSLsoccer.com and on the NWSL app with no sign-in required. For viewers located outside of the U.S., all games will be available instantly to watch on-demand on NWSLsoccer.com and on the NWSL app.
What about Lifetime? Will any matches air on TV?
In February, NWSL and Lifetime/A&E parted ways. As of now, the league has not announced a new TV deal.
What if I want to find games from previous seasons?
All games from 2013-2016 are available on the NWSL YouTube channel. Games from the 2017 and 2018 are available on NWSLsoccer.com and on the NWSL app. Review the schedule, click to expand the game you’d like to watch, and the video should display at the top of the match page.
