QUICK RECAP: Reign FC came out firing against the Orlando Pride, scoring three goals in the first 17 minutes of the match. Then, a lightning delay stopped play in the 22nd minute — with fans and the players waiting for more than 90 minutes to return to the field.
It was all Reign for most of the rest of the match, although a penalty in the 79th minute gave Orlando a lone goal. At 10:59 PM PT, the final whistle blew and the Reign walked away with three points and jumped into 4th for the time being.
Reign FC are back at the comfortable confines of Cheney Stadium on Saturday night, as the club takes on the Orlando Pride. The game kicks off at 7 PM PT and will once again be in front of a large home crowd. It’ll stream in the U.S. on Yahoo! Sports.
The biggest news heading into the match is the potential return of Megan Rapinoe, who is off the NWSL injury report for the first time this season. Don’t expect her to start today, but Pinoe could be a huge impact player off the bench.
Orlando will be without Alex Morgan, Marta, and Ali Krieger due to a combination of injuries and family emergencies. They still have attacking weapons, however, so the Reign will need to dictate the tempo of the game. They need three points. They can get them today.
Reign FC are inching closer to a relatively healthy squad — all things considered — and it comes at an important time. After Saturday’s match, the team has just five games to go in the regular season. Getting points in every game is critical.

3’ - Reign FC goal!!!! Darian Jenkins easily slots it away. Way too easy, as the Pride give it away in a dangerous spot.
.@ReignFC wasting no time. @darian_jenks puts the home side in front already.
