The first details of Reign FC’s 2020 preseason schedule were revealed today when the Portland Thorns announced their annual Thorns Spring Invitational. Reign FC will be one of four teams competing in the tournament, along with the Thorns, Chicago Red Stars, and the United States U-23 WNT. This will be Reign FC’s third time in the tournament, having previously taken part in 2016 and 2019.

Reign FC will play the US U-23s in the tournament’s opening match on Sunday, March 29 at 2:30 PM. They will then face Chicago on Wednesday, April 1 at 5:00 PM, and will close the tournament against the Thorns on Saturday, April 4 at 7:30 PM. All matches will take place at Providence Park; tickets for each day start at $8, or $15 for the entire tournament. Broadcast information is not available at this time; in the past, games featuring the Thorns have been streamed.

The NWSL preseason starts March 9 and more details of the team’s schedule should be coming soon. Typically the Reign have also played a pre-season friendly against UW at Husky Soccer Stadium as a fundraiser for the Austen Everett Foundation, and in recent years they have also traveled to California to face UCLA.
