Gamethread: Join us to re-watch the Reign take on the Washington Spirit

NWSL Twitch channel at 3 PM; watch with us

While fans wait for the 2020 NWSL season to officially begin — whenever that might be — the league is taking advantage of its new streaming partner to re-broadcast some of the best NWSL matches in the league’s history.

On Wednesday, April 1, their first OL Reign rewind will air on the league’s Twitch channel. Join us at 3 PM PT to watch the team’s exciting 2-2 draw in 2019 with the Washington Spirit, which took place at Audi Field in front of more than 17,000 fans.

The match was a critical one for both sides, who were fighting for a playoff spot. At the time, the Reign sat in fifth place while the Spirit were closely behind in sixth. After taking time to recover from an injury suffered in the World Cup, Reign FC’s Megan Rapinoe was available on the bench for this match. Did she factor in the game? Watch with us to find out.
