OL Reign 2021 regular season schedule unveiled

Update, May 7: Broadcast details have now been confirmed for all 24 OL Reign regular season games. The team will have 15 games on the subscription streaming service Paramount+, six games on Twitch, two games on CBSSN, and one game on CBS. A few kickoff times have also been adjusted to accommodate broadcasts, including OL Reign’s trip to Portland on May 23, which now kicks off at 1 PM PT.

The 2021 NWSL regular season schedule was unveiled today, with each team playing 24 games followed by a six-team playoff. All but one OL Reign home game will be on a weekend this season, and none of them conflict with any Sounders home games.

The Reign season opens with a home game against the North Carolina Courage on Saturday, May 15 and concludes with a trip to Kansas City on Oct. 30. The team will play its annual Pride Match when they host Gotham FC on June 26, and will hold a Fan Appreciation Day at their last regular-season home game, against the Washington Spirit, on Oct. 16. Their first road match of the season is a Cascadia derby game at Portland, on May 23.

OL Reign will play three teams twice — once home and once away, and the remaining six teams three times. Among the teams they play three times, the Reign have two home games against Chicago, Gotham FC, and Washington Spirit, while they will travel twice to face Houston, Kansas City, and Portland.

There are two stretches where the team plays three games in a week. The first has them at North Carolina on Saturday, June 19 followed by a Tuesday home game against Chicago and a Saturday home game against Gotham FC. The second starts with their home game against Portland on August 29, followed by a road trip to Houston the following Wednesday and Louisville on Saturday. Beyond those two games, there are no midweek matches.
