Three Reign Players Called Up For Canada

The Seattle team will be well represented on the Canadian squad when they take on the US in June

Midfielder Kaylyn Kyle, defender Emily Zurrer, and forward Tiffany Cameron have been called up to the Canadian national team to play the US in Toronto on June 2. Kyle and Zurrer are veterans of the team, but it would be 21-year-old Cameron's 6th cap.

Fortunately for the Reign — who are already stretched thin by injury — the league schedule is off for the international break. Instead the team will be playing the Haiti national team at Starfire on the same day the national teams are playing.

None of the team's US allocation will be representing the US — Hope Solo and Amy Rodriguez are out with injury (and pregnancy) and Megan Rapinoe is being left off to complete her season in France and in the Champions League.

For Zurrer, it'll be an opportunity to face up against Alex Morgan for the second consecutive week as she'll almost certainly start opposite the US striker when the Thorns visit Starfire this weekend in the last match before the break.
