An insider’s look at Toronto FC

In many ways, playing Toronto FC is like looking in a mirror for the Seattle Sounders. Aggressive ownership? Check. International stars? Check. Underwhelming regular season followed by an impressive playoff run? Big check.

But as familiar as Toronto FC may seem on a quick glance, this is a very different side than the one the Sounders faced in back to back MLS Cup finals in 2016 and 2017 and even significantly changed from the one that visited CenturyLink Field earlier this year.
