It’s not everyday that actual news happens while we’re recording an episode of our podcast. This was one of those times. Shortly after Niko Moreno and Jeremiah Oshan started recording, Union de Santa Fe announced that the Seattle Sounders had paid the exit clause in Yeimar Gomez Andrade’s contract. The deal isn’t quite finalized, but that’s about as close as it gets.
Moreno had plenty of insight into Yeimar, but he also had some interesting things to say about the Sounders’ pursuit of Joao Paulo and the rumor they were after Argentininian 20-year-old Santiago Sosa.
The quiet offseason has suddenly gotten very exciting and no one has better insight into than Moreno. Enjoy.
