Liga MX recently announced they’d be suspending promotion and relegation for six years, leading up to the 2026 World Cup in North America. Speculation is rife that a merger of sorts between Liga MX and MLS is inevitable. But how would such a coupling work? Is it solving a problem that doesn’t exist?
