While it is not certain, Real Espana indicated through social media today that one time Seattle Sounders FC midfielder Mario Martinez may be on his way back north. It is notable that Martinez did retweet the news, but he has a history of retweeting many stories about his future with various clubs (see rumors of going to Turkey and other nations).
The Facebook note has a bit more than their tweet just because it allows more characters.
In his time back with Real Espana and the Honduran National Team Martinez has been infrequently used, though he does have four goals in league play. Real Espana currently leads the Honduran top flight.
Mario was on loan to Sounders FC when a call to the Honduran team indicated that he would be rarely available in Seattle. That scuttled the negotiations to extend his loan or buy out his contract. There is no indication that this new move is a loan or purchase.
