It's not a done deal, yet, but it appears as if only the final details need to be worked out on Clint Dempsey's loan to Fulham. Manager Rene Meulensteen confirmed on Friday that Dempsey was currently undergoing a physical and seemed optimistic about adding the former Fulham star.

"Clint spent so many years playing in the Premier League and we all know where his strengths are. He can come in from the left or play as a second striker depending on who you're playing against. It speaks volumes for him that he wants to come back here. Initially it's for January and February."
Dempsey spent five-and-a-half seasons with Fulham before forcing a move to Tottenham ahead of the 2012-13 season in a quest to play in Champions League. During his time at Craven Cottage, Dempsey scored 60 goals across all competitions including 23 in his final season there.
Although the Fulham story contains no details, it is expected that he'd stay through their match on Feb. 22 and then return to the Seattle Sounders with about two weeks left before First Kick on March 8.
