There was a chance that the last statement about Shalrie Joseph as a player in MLS would be the announcement that he'd been bought out by Seattle Sounders FC. That seemed inevitable after Sigi Schmid's statements during the Sounders FC Alliance End of Year meeting. There Sigi indicated that Shalrie did not play the role he was assigned and was not comfortable removing him at half due to the lockerroom discord.
But, Seattle may have an out. It seems that the New England Revolution think that their former great may have a bit left in his tank. He is on trial with the Revs and may even play today.
A couple new unsigned players on the #NERevs preseason roster, including someone named Shalrie Joseph. Anyone recognize the name?

Yes, Shalrie Joseph is indeed in #NERevs camp as a trialist. Wearing number 47, could be available tonight vs. Chivas USA.

There is no word yet as to what roster mechanics would be necessary for Joseph to return to New England, but if Adrian & Co can get anything for him they may just have gotten value where few saw it.
