Slowly but surely the list of suitors for the services of DeAndre Yedlin is growing. The latest is that Goal.com can independently confirm the earlier report from L'Equipe that Olympique Lyon has a bid in with the offices in Major League Soccer. Goal also says that Genoa has a bid of their own, which varies from the earlier reports that Genoa would be a short term destination on the AS Roma bid.
L'Equipe reports a small fee at a mere 3.27 million dollars. That's less than what Inter Milan was supposedly offering.
Yedlin was just on 1090 the fan this afternoon promoting the Uber-Golazo FutbolFiesta promotion he's doing and said that his agents and representatives are keeping the details away from him so he can focus on playing soccer and winning an MLS Cup.
Hanauer was on KJR yesterday and indicated that Seattle Sounders FC is not in a hurry and it could be a couple weeks before they make a decision on a sale or loan. He also mentioned that a team could acquire Yedlin immediately or even loan him to Seattle for two years. The fluid nature of these offers and future negotiations could not be more clear.
Goal also makes the case that Seattle should sell now, even if it is just to bank the money for the likely CONCACAF Champions League run.
So far clubs that have been mentioned in specific are Anderlecht, AS Roma, Genoa, Inter Milan, Liverpool and Lyon. Leagues without a specific club mentioned are Portugal (new in the latest Goal.com report) and Spain. This list will get longer before it gets shorter.
