UPDATE: Looks like Yedlin is in London for a physical with Tottenham.
DeAndre Yedlin was not at Seattle Sounders training on Friday. Where was he? Let's let Sounders head coach Sigi Schmid answer that:
Sigi Schmid on Yedlin's absence from training today: "DeAndre is overseas right now"

Sounder GM Adrian Hanauer was similarly vague, at least adding that this was connected to a potential transfer.
Hanauer says Yedlin meeting with big club in Europe. Expected to return for Sunday and remain thru end of season "and potentially longer."

Rumors have been rampant over the past few days about Tottenham Hotspur moving to the head of the DeAndre Yedlin sweepstakes. As recently as Thursday, there was a report suggesting a $3.5 million transfer was nearly sealed. One of the final steps to finalizing that transfer would be to undergo a physical in London, which happens to be overseas. AS Roma has also been prominently mentioned as a potential landing spot.
Those rumors have also suggested Yedlin would remain with the Sounders for at least this season.
Although Hanauer said Yedlin should be back for Sunday's game against the Houston Dynamo, it's entirely possible he won't be fit to start. In that case, Brad Evans and Jalil Anibaba would be the potential replacement right backs.
We will update as soon as we have more information.
