Twice previously linked with Seattle Sounders FC German keeper Timo Hildebrand puts to rest a future with the keeper needy club. Agent Jorg Neblung spoke to soccer magazine Kicker (per ESPNFC) and indicated the possibility that Timo could head to MLS.
"Seattle are no option. And I can't discuss the other options," Neblung said, and confirmed that a MLS move is still on the cards.
The Sounders currently only have Stefan Frei as a returning keeper. Native son Marcus Hahnemann is retiring and Josh Ford is on his way to Orlando City SC. Having been in the bidding for Hildebrand is an indication that the club is looking towards veterans and not just draftees and American youth to fill their three or most keeper spots on their two rosters.
Frankfurt may sell Hildrebrand at an MLS friendly price, or carry him until the end of their season, which is after the MLS transer window closes
