Lamar Neagle signs "new three-year contract"

Mike Russell / Sounder at Heart

In his third stint with Seattle Sounders FC, Lamar Neagle now has a bit of comfort in knowing he has a new three year deal with MLS and Seattle Sounders FC. Today, his agency announced a "new three-year contract" for Seattle's left midfielder/forward.

Neagle is coming off his best year with the club, and a year where he was pretty much just a wide midfielder. Lamar netted 9 MLS goals and earned 9 MLS assists, with only 7 MLS players earning more in both categories. He was also the 9th most valuable player on the Sounders. He's in his third stint with the Sounders. He has a new three-year contract.

Insert numerology reference here.

Neagle more than doubled his salary from 2013 to 2014. This deal that should run through 2018 will, at that salary, help a man that had a busy offseason buying a house, getting married, honeymooning and running his charity.
