The Seattle Sounders will only play seven games against professional-level Reserve League sides this season, at least according to the recently released schedule. That's down from 12 last season. To help close that gap, the Sounders have said they plan to schedule three more games, the first of which appears to be against the University of Washington on March 9.

On the plus side, the reserves are only scheduled to take one "extra" road trip that would be outside of a trip the full team is already taking. That one is for the May 26 game at Real Salt Lake, which is about five days before the full team is scheduled to play there. A year ago, the reserves actually had to make a special trip to Florida for a match against Orlando City, as well as another to Southern California.
