Sounders loan Sean Okoli, Aaron Kovar to OC Blues

Homegrown Players will return to Sounders on June 14, in time to play two extra games and still be available for the U.S. Open Cup.

To the surprise of very few, Sean Okoli and Aaron Kovar have not seen a whole lot of playing time during their rookie seasons with the Seattle Sounders. In an effort to change that, the pair of Homegrown Players have been sent to the USL Pro's Orange County Blues on short-term loans.

The Blues have games on June 11 and 13, after which the players will return to the Sounders ahead of the U.S. Open Cup match against PSA Elite on June 18.

Kovar has played 450 minutes for the Sounders Reserves and has logged two assists while mostly playing as a left back. Okoli has played 405 minutes in the reserves with one assist, while also playing 18 minutes in two appearances with the senior team.

Kovar and Okoli will join goalkeeper Josh Ford, who was already with the Blues for his second loan stint.
