Sounders Reserves vs Arizona United: Gamethread

The last Sounders Reserve home match, perhaps ever.

The Seattle Sounders reserves will play in their final home match of the 2014 season (and indeed, of their existence) at 1 PM this afternoon when they taken on Arizona United SC at Starfire Stadium.

There's something of a local link for this Arizona team, in their first year as an expansion USL Pro side. The team plays at the Peoria Sports Complex, which happens to be the spring training home of the Seattle Mariners. You can rest assured that no goal in this match will be worth two runs or more.

Come down and join me at Starfire (which in less than a week will host the NWSL Championship) and soak in a beautiful sunny day as an era comes to an end. Next year we may see the same kits take the same field, but they will be their own entity on that day.

Here's the lineup;

Hahnemann; Anibaba, Lowe, Long, Remick; Rose, Azira, Bowen, Neagle; Cooper, Okoli

Academy heavy bench

Ford, Weaver, Kovar (HGP), McCormick (CM, past U18), Samkange (CB, past U16), DeGroot (RB, past U18), Kurtz (past U16)

Current rosters for Academy players still to come.
