Seattle Sounders FC 2 progressing off the pitch

New seats, new transportation options, and a Sounders Community Trust update.

With only three players signed to the roster there is a lot of work still to do building Seattle Sounders FC 2. But not all of that work is related to the 12 direct signings to the USL side, the players loaned down from the 1st team, the lack of coaches outside of Ezra Hendrickson or the Academy kids that will be called upon regularly.

Sounders 2 also has to make progress in regards to making Starfire feel like home for their fans and owners.

The new seatbacks turn the standard bleachers into something a bit special, add some color and even include many Founders' names.

S2 also released a transportation update. There are two new twists on the classic Starfire parking issues of "get a year long pass, ride the 150 or walk a lot." Now there will be a bus from Fuel to Starfire and shuttles from SouthCenter and/or Odin Brewing that end at Starfire Sports.

The ability to pregame at SouthCenter may not be ideal, but it is better than spending 30+ minutes searching for parking. As a South King County native I'd recommend Duke's Chowder House or BJ's of the options there, or Odin, because beer.

Those that are Founding Members of the Sounders Community Trust got an update from sometime SaH author, former Alliance Council President and current SCT board head Paul Cox on the ongoing efforts to define what exactly ownership is.
