Canadian and Boston College product Giuliano Frano is now Seattle Sounders FC 2 player. Frano is mostly a box-to-box central midfielder who can also play defensive mid in a pinch. The 5'11" midfielder is 21.
"Frano is a good two-way midfielder who defends well, but also gets forward well," said S2 Head Coach Ezra Hendrickson via team release. "Having Frano in the middle with Amadou Sanyang is going to be an excellent pairing for us this season."
The signing makes nine players directly signed to S2. Other players are F/RW Andy Craven, RM/LM/CM Sam Garza, F Qudus Lawal, CB/CDM Aaron Long, CDM/CM Duncan McCormick, CB Nick Miele, CAM/WF Pablo Rossi, and CDM/RB Amadou Sanyang.
"It feels great knowing that all the work I put in during the preseason is paying off," said Frano in the release. "We look forward to showing what we can do tonight as we try to make it with the First Team."
Tonight's match is at 7:30 PM.
