If you’ve been paying any kind of attention to Sounders Academy alums in college, you’re probably aware of Seyi Adekoya. The UCLA junior scored 12 goals last year and is generally considered one of the better MLS prospects in college right now.
Well, this year has not been quite the statistical explosion of last year, but he scored an absolute golazo in Thursday’s 4-3 win over Cal Berkley.

That is the kind of goal no goalkeeper in the world is going to stop. The move to create the space is pretty nice, but the force with which the ball hits the back of the net is what makes it truly special.
It should also be said that Adekoya appears to have added quite a bit of muscle to his 5-foot-11 frame. So while he’s only got two goals and an assist — which he picked up on Thursday -- to show for his efforts this year, there’s still an awful lot to like about his potential.
