Taking on UCLA at home the 11th ranked UW Huskies needed help from Sounders Academy alum Henry Wingo to win the match. Wingo’s double-volley in traffic put Washington up a goal, and that was all they would need. The Dawgs improved their record to 13-4-0 on the season.

Wingo is in his Junior year at the University of Washington. He was a starter as a Sophomore and a regular off the bench in his Freshman season. This year Henry has 15 starts, and now one goal and an assist.
While with the Academy Wingo earned 323 minutes in 2 starts and 9 sub appearances during the Sounders Reserves seasons in 2013 and 2014. He scored one goal. He also played for PSA Elite in the 2015 US Open Cup.
At UW he is mostly a box-to-box midfielder, but he also has played wide in attacking roles.
