Victor Mansaray and Jake Morris have been called in to Tab Ramos’ 20-player roster for their upcoming international camp taking place from Dec. 13 to Dec. 20. The United States U20s will play two friendlies against the U20 Costa Rica side on Dec. 17 and Dec. 19.

This December camp will help prepare the U20s for the 2017 CONCACAF U20 Championship that will be held in San Jose, Costa Rica at Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica and the Estadio Ricardo Saprissa in Tibas from Feb. 17 to Mar. 5.

Many Sounders fans should be familiar with Mansaray has he has been involved with the Sounders at some capacity since 2012. He joined the Sounders Academy midway through the 2012-2013 season when he scored 11 goals in 20 appearances. The next season he led the team in scoring with 18 goals in 24 appearances.

Mansaray became the Sounders fourth ever Homegrown Player when he was signed at the age of 17, the youngest player to ever sign with the Sounders first team. He made just three appearances for the first team in 2015. He played 16 games with Seattle Sounders 2 in 2015 but failed to score a goal. In 2016, he appeared in 19 games for S2 and scored five goals. He did appear in one game for the first team in 2016 in the friendly against West Ham, playing 28 minutes.

Mansaray has been capped by the U20s eight times with seven of those coming in 2016. He has tallied two goals this year and one assist.

Jake Morris, no relation to Jordan Morris, is receiving his first ever call up to the United States U20s. Morris was signed to the Sounders Academy this year, appearing in seven games, six of them starts. He also appeared in two games for S2, totaling just 36 minutes. Previously, Morris played with Weston FC in Florida and has previous international experience at the U19 level.
