Two familiar voices will be S2's main announcer team

A pair of familiar voices with strong Seattle ties will be manning the broadcast booth for Sounders 2 this year, Sounder at Heart has confirmed. Aaron Heinzen will be the new play-by-play voice and Wade Webber will be his color announcer. The club is expected to formally announce them on Friday ahead of the S2 season opener at Starfire against Sacramento Republic.

Heinzen is from Yakima, played collegiately at the University of Washington and spent parts of three seasons with the Portland Timbers during their USL days. More relevantly, he was part of one of the three announcing teams during S2's inaugural season when he was the color announcer alongside Nathan Murphy.

Webber should be even more familiar. The Federal Way resident played for the Sounders during their A-League days, played parts of three seasons in MLS and was recently hired by the Sounders Academy. Webber has also been working on Sounders radio broadcasts for several year, doing pregame, halftime and postgame analysis.

As they were last year, all S2 matches will be live streamed on YouTube.
