Sounders follow up yesterday's flurry of transactions with an S2 group signing. The final three Sounders draft picks signed to the USL side with Zach Mathers, Emir Alihodzic, and Michael Nelson all inking contracts today. All three trained with both the First Team and S2 during training camp and fought with MLS signings Tony Alfaro and Oalex Anderson for roster spots.

Each player is expected to "help S2 immediately" according to GM Andrew Opatkiewicz. All three players fill slightly different roles. Mathers is deep mid who can get forward, kind of a Wil Trapp type player. Alihodzic is more of a box-to-box style midfielder, who played mostly as a defensive mid in training camp. Nelson is defender that will likely play RB but has the skill set to play CB if need be.

Today's signings bring the roster up to seven total players with forward Myron Samuel and midfielders Carlos Patino, Jordan Schweitzer, and last year's captain Amadou Sanyang already on the roster.
