Seattle Sounders FC 2 return to Starfire today, licking their wounds from a dismantling in Reno that they will be looking to ablate from memory. They look to do so against a Sacramento Republic team with the same record (4-5-1) as them, though Sacramento was the victor in the two teams previous meeting this year.
Though S2 lost that first meeting their performance in the first 60 minutes of that game provide an excellent example of how S2 can defeat the more experienced Sacramento side. S2 put Sacramento under a lot of pressure early with a high press that saw S2 gain an early lead. Unfortunately it was the first game of the season, and with a team made largely of first time professionals S2 were not fit enough to execute the gameplan for a full ninety minutes. 10 games into the season that should no longer be a problem and S2 should press Sacramento until they prove they can deal with it.
This is the first game of a double-header featuring S2 and the Sounders U23s of the PDL. The U23 game is against TSS FC Rovers at 5 PM.

Keys to the Game:
- Press, Press, Press with the front four.
- Avoid instinct to be overly cautious.
