Seattle Sounders FC 2 return to USL play after ostensibly, and successfully, deputizing for the First Team in the US Open Cup. Though the team they faced was an MLS side in name only, hopefully the victory over the Portland Timbers will provide S2 with the confidence to kickstart a second half of the season run up the table. Felix Chenkam looks set to return to USL play after missing more than a month with injury. Irvin Parra and Javorn Stevens have done a good job in his absence but Chenkam’s positioning and constant pressing really brings S2’s formation into balance when he is up top.
S2’s opponent tonight, Oklahoma City Energy FC, are yet another Western Conference team that struggles to find the back of the net but are solid defensively, averaging 1 goal a game for and against. OKC have received a boost to their offense in recent weeks with the addition of former Seattle Sounder Andy Craven. In just 237 minutes he is tied for top goal scorer on OKC and he will be an important player for the backline to keep track of.

you will hear us in your sleep | you will hear us from the deep
this is our Sound
Keys to the Game:
- Be careful in the box, OKC have drawn 6 PKs this season.
- Prevent Craven from extracting revenge.
- Get Chenkam involved early.
