The Seattle Sounders U18 Academy team continue their run deep into the USSDA playoffs tonight against fellow MLS club LA Galaxy. The U18s got here with a hard fought 3-2 win over their in state rivals, Crossfire, which took a full 120’. At times they looked like they would run Crossfire off the field but they made the game difficult on themselves by letting their level drop for long periods.
This will be a less emotional matchup for the U18s but the pressure will be higher as they have an opportunity to prove they are the best U18 team in the country. The winner of this game will face the winner of the other semifinal between Texas SC Houston and the Colorado Rapids. That game is currently in extra-time which will push back the start of the Sounders’ match.
