What, uhh, what is this feeling? I feel light, almost freer. I think, I don’t know, maybe joyful, yeah, maybe I feel joy! Is this, umm, is this what Seattle Sounders 2 winning feels like? Let’s do it again this week. That’s right, S2 have a chance to win a second consecutive game for the first time in a long time. They are coming off of what might have been their best game of the season, with the season opening win against Timbers 2 being the only other game in the conversation.
S2’s opponent for their opportunity to officially start a winning streak tonight is Saint Louis FC. This is St. Louis’s first season in the USL’s Western conference and this will be the first meeting between two sides. St. Louis is a decent defensive team but, like S2, struggle to put ball in the net. The first team to two goals likely wins this, and it might only take one. The one thing S2 need to watch from St. Louis is their ability to score from outside the box.
While they theoretically come in as underdogs for this match, if S2 can close down St. Louis’s shooters in defense, and pressure the St. Louis backline like they did Vegas’s last week there is no reason they shouldn’t win for the second week in a row.

Keys to the Game
- Close down shooters
- High Press with numbers
- Finish a bit better than last week
Lineup
This is almost certainly a 3-4-2-1 again with Usman and Ulysse as wingbacks.
