As things stand today, Léo Chú is still with the Seattle Sounders and appears to be in their plans for 2024. Through the first few days of preseason training, he has looked active and motivated even when conditions were, at best, pretty bad.

Depending on where the information is coming from, though, behind the scenes it might be a bit different. According to series of tweets by Seattle-based reporter Paulo Alves, Chú has already agreed to personal terms with reigning Copa Libertadores winners Fluminense, who officially made a $4 million offer to the Sounders earlier this week.

Although reports out of Brazil suggest the Sounders rejected that bid, Alves' source said they simply never responded and, as a result, Fluminense have moved on. Fluminense began their Campeonato Carioca – the state league for Rio de Janeiro – campaign on Wednesday.
