Yu Tsukanome scored his league-leading eighth goal of the season — on an impressive bicycle kick — and the Tacoma Defiance had plenty of other chances to score, but ultimately came up short in a 2-1 loss to the Portland Timbers 2 on Sunday.
It’s the second straight loss for the Defiance, who had won five straight league games before that.
