Two of the best teams in the early stages of Leagues Cup will try to carry their momentum into league play when the Seattle Sounders visit the LA Galaxy tonight at 7 PM.
The Sounders have been one of the hottest teams in the league since the end of the Club World Cup, going 3-0-3 in their six games before Leagues Cup and following that up with a perfect 3-0-0 record against Liga MX opponents.
The Galaxy haven’t been quite at that level, but they were 2-1-2 heading into Leagues Cup and then went 2-0-1 with 10 goals scored against Liga MX opponents.

- The Sounders have a lead of 17-16-14 in the all-time series against the Galaxy. The 48 meetings represent the Sounders’ most frequent opponent in the MLS era.
- After going unbeaten at Dignity Health Sports Park from 2018-2023, the Sounders have lost three straight there.
- This is a rematch of the 2024 Western Conference finals, which the Galaxy won 1-0.
- Cristian Roldan is set to make his 300th career Sounders regular-season appearance, joining Stefan Frei as the only Sounders to reach that mark.
