The Seattle Sounders hosted their Cascadia rivals, the Portland Timbers, in a defensive masterclass (or attacking struggle-fest?) at Lumen Field on Saturday. The good guys scored early, with Pedro de la Vega putting the finishing touch on a captivating team-goal in the 16th minute. This proved to be the match winner, as the remainder was the aforementioned masterclass. I honestly don’t remember large swaths of the second half. Still, a win is a win!
