Three Seattle Reign players have been named NWSL award finalists for the 2025 season: Claudia Dickey is one of three nominees for Goalkeeper of the Year; Jordyn Bugg is up for Defender of the Year alongside four other candidates; and Maddie Dahlien is one of three finalists for Rookie of the Year.

Reign fans can vote now for these players, along with other award categories. Votes must be submitted by Wednesday, November 12, at 5 p.m. PT.

For the first time in league history, the NWSL Awards will broadcast live on ESPN2 from San Jose on Wednesday, November 19, ahead of the 2025 NWSL Championship on Saturday.

Claudia Dickey, GK of the Year

Dickey – better known to Reign fans as Clawdia – leads the league in nearly every shot-stopping category. She has the most saves this season (88), the second-best save percentage (76.7%), and the highest post-shot expected goals prevented total (11.9 expected goals prevented). She earned seven clean sheets this season.

Dickey's strong NWSL play earned her four caps with the U.S. Women's National Team.

Jordyn Bugg, Defender of the Year

The 19-year-old Bugg finished the season playing 2,149 minutes. In addition to being a rock on the defensive end, the centerback scored three goals — one a game-winner and the other two late equalizers. Bugg is consistent in virtually every defensive category, including being sixth in the league in clearances. Comfortable in possession, she completed an average of 44 passes per game.

Bugg's strong NWSL play also earned her four caps this year with the U.S. Women's National Team.

Maddie Dahlien, Rookie of the Year

Dahlien made an instant impact for the Reign in her first professional season. The 21-year-old played 1,828 minutes, featuring in 26 games. Rotating between left forward and left wingback, Dahlien's speed presented constant problems for opponents. Dahlien finished the year with four goals and four assists. She was second in the league in carries into the penalty box and seventh in shots on target.

NWSL Award Voting

The 2025 NWSL Awards are voted upon in two rounds. In the first round, players, owners, general managers, coaches, and the media voted on individual awards to determine the finalists.

The final round of voting uses a weighted scale of players (40%), owners/GMs/coaches (25%), media (25%), and fans (10%). Voting is now open for fans. All votes must be submitted by Wednesday, November 12, at 5 p.m. PT.
