Seattle Reign begin the second half of the season with another stop in California to complete their three-game road trip. Bay FC are coming off a mid-week home game against Gotham, which they lost 1-0 on a very early Midge Purce goal. Bay also had an early goal of their own called back for offside after video review.
This is the first time the two sides have met this season. Bay is one of only two teams in the league that the Reign have never recorded a win against, with a 0-2-2 record all-time. Bay has scored six goals in the series while the Reign have four. The teams drew both meetings last season by matching 1-1 score lines.

Notes
- The club encountered yet another flight cancelation and travel delay when returning from San Diego last weekend, but aside from missing out on a day of recovery at home, everyone remains healthy and available for selection.
- Lynn Biyendolo has returned to Seattle and will re-join the team in the near future as she continues working back to match fitness following the birth of her son.
- Bay is missing all-time leading scorer Racheal Kundananji, who is with Zambia at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations tournament for the next month. They will also likely be without new signing Agostina Holzheier; the Argentine forward signed on Friday but was still awaiting immigration and transfer paperwork before she can be added to the active roster.
- Bay FC is one of only two NWSL teams that Laura Harvey does not yet have a win against (along with Denver Summit). She has earned at least one win against every other NWSL team to ever exist, including Seattle.
