For the 10th consecutive time in the regular season at Lumen Field, the Seattle Sounders failed to beat the Portland Timbers following a 2-2 tie on Saturday. The Sounders jumped out to a 2-0 lead and seemed to have the game reasonably well in hand until Léo Chú was shown a second yellow card, forcing them to play a man down. The Timbers equalized about 15 minutes later on two goals in very quick succession.
