The Seattle Sounders will host LAFC on Sunday, Nov. 26 in the Western Conference semifinals, it was announced on Sunday. The game is scheduled for a 6:30 PM kickoff.
The Sounders faced LAFC twice this season, tying their early-season encounter 0-0 at Lumen Field and losing their match in Southern California 1-0.
As the top remaining seed in the Western Conference, the Sounders will have home-field advantage as long as they advance until MLS Cup. With Atlanta United now eliminated, the Sounders can not host MLS Cup.
The Sounders have faced LAFC in the playoffs twice before, winning both encounters. Most memorably, they beat LAFC 3-1 on the road in the 2019 Western Conference finals on their way to winning MLS Cup. The Sounders also hosted LAFC in the first-round of the 2020 playoffs, winning that encounter 3-1 as well.
To qualify for this round, LAFC beat the Vancouver Whitecaps 2-0 in their best-of-3 series.
