U.S. Women's National Team head coach Emma Hayes named Seattle Reign goalkeeper Claudia Dickey and forward Lynn Biyendolo to the 24-player USWNT roster for their upcoming matches against China and Jamaica.
The matches take place during a FIFA international window and break in NWSL play. On Saturday, May 31, the U.S. will face China at 2:30 p.m. PT (TBS, HBO Max, Universo & Peacock in Spanish). They'll then go up against Jamaica on Tuesday, June 3 at 5 p.m. PT (TNT, HBO Max, Universo & Peacock in Spanish).
Dickey was previously called up for the USWNT January training camp, although that was an evaluation camp and didn't include any matches. She could earn her first USWNT cap if Hayes decides to play her in either match. Dickey joins a goalkeeping group that includes former Reign goalkeeper Phallon Tullis-Joyce and Utah Royals goalkeeper Mandy McGlynn.
"The data don't lie. Claudia Dickey's probably the best-performing goalkeeper in the NWSL this season," Hayes said during a press conference after the roster announcement.
Hayes on the GK position: "The data don't lie. Claudia Dickey's probably the best performing goalkeeper in the NWSL this season." Wider process and inexperienced GK pool: "What I don't want to do is develop a goalkeepers for '27 and then we're in exactly the same position again."

Indeed, according to Opta, Dickey leads the NWSL in goals prevented, allowing just seven goals against an expected goal total of 12.1. That's nearly double any other goalkeeper in the league this season.
5.1 - Claudia Dickey's 5.1 goals prevented is nearly double any other goalkeeper in the #NWSL this season (2nd - Mackenzie Arnold - 2.6). Truth.

Dickey joins Orlando Pride defender Kerry Abello and Kansas City Current midfielder Lo'eau LaBonta as the only uncapped players on this roster.
Biyendolo, meanwhile, returns to the U.S. roster after missing matches with an ankle injury during the April window. She has 78 caps for the USWNT and has scored 22 goals.
Additional international break notes
Seven other Reign players have been called up so far by their national teams during this FIFA window. Players will report to their national teams after this weekend's NWSL games. With a lot of travel involved for many of these players, and international matches taking place just three days prior, there might be additional rotation for the Reign's road match against San Diego on June 6.
- Jess Fishlock, Angharad James-Turner, and Lily Woodham will join Wales for their UEFA Nations League matches against Denmark (May 30) and Italy (June 3). Fishlock has not featured for the Reign since March 22, but Reign head coach Laura Harvey indicated that she should be healthy and available for the club's match this Friday against the Washington Spirit. Woodham recently concluded her loan spell with Crystal Palace. The Reign have not yet announced if she'll be returning to Seattle.
- Ana-Maria Crnogorčević will join Switzerland for their two UEFA Nations League matches against France (May 30) and Norway (June 3).
- Ji So-yun will represent South Korea in two matches against Colombia on May 30 and June 2.
- Jordyn Huitema was named to Canada's roster for two matches against Haiti on May 31 and June 3, both taking place in Canada.
- Nérilia Mondésir was named to Haiti's 23-player roster for these matches. Like Fishlock, she seems to have recovered from her injury and could feature for the Reign this week.
- The U.S. U-23 team will also face Germany's U-23 squad. That roster will be announced on Wednesday, May 21, and could feature some Reign players.
