Playing a game that was originally supposed to happen the day before the Leagues Cup final, the Seattle Sounders will host Real Salt Lake in their final home game of the 2025 regular season.

The Sounders can not move up from fifth in the Western Conference, but if they get at least a point they will effectively clinch that spot, which will put them on a likely course to face Minnesota United in the first round of the playoffs.

Real Salt Lake has considerably more on the line. They are currently ninth in the table and can finish as high as sixth or miss the playoffs entirely. A win would at least clinch their playoff spot.

Notes

The Sounders have already set a club record for most home goals during the regular season (37). They’ve also already claimed more home points than in any season since 2017.
The Sounders are missing 11 players through a variety of injuries, suspension and international duty. RSL are missing at least eight.
The Sounders called up Peter Kingston, Sebastian Gomez and Antino Lopez from Tacoma Defiance on short-term loans.
The highlight of Fan Appreciation Night will be the unveiling of the Leagues Cup banner during a pregame ceremony.
