The Seattle Sounders brought it all back home. In a do-or-die match against Minnesota United, Seattle did, with four well-worked team goals, bookended by two from Obed Vargas. The Sounders found themselves 3-0 up heading into first half stoppage time, but two critical lapses during the eight added minutes made the second half tighter than it ought to have been. Still, a win is a win, and the Sounders will be confident they can find another when they head back to Minnesota.
Personal note: It was a real treat (it always is) to be at Lumen Field Monday evening with Realio and the true mastermind behind the Ratings machine, Mr. Ellis. Thanks for getting me into the big city, guys.
